RCMP Officer Charged with Uttering Threats
The province's independent Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) released a report today regarding an investigation involving a male officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Staff Sgt. Nelson Salter has been charged with uttering threats against his spouse. The charge stems from an incident that occurred in their home on the evening of July 3.

The Serious Incident Response Team is responsible for investigating all serious incidents involving police in Nova Scotia, whether or not there is an allegation of wrongdoing. Investigations are under the direction and control of independent civilian director Felix Cacchione.
